Almost half of pet owners in the UK greet their pet first, when they get home.
Roughly 48% of pet owners in the UK, greet their pet before their partner, when they get home from work. Which shows just how much pet owners in the UK love their pets.
The majority of pet owners share their food with their pet:
60% of UK pet owners are more than happy to occasionally share a bit of their food with their pet. Some pet owners even go as far as sharing ice cream with their pet. So if you’ve ever shared human food with your pet, you’re not alone. As most pet owners in the UK will sneakily share food with their pet, when no one else is watching.
Most pet owners let their pets climb up on their sofa.
57.10% of survey respondents revealed that they let their pet climb up on their sofa and that their pet has their own space on their sofa. Some lucky pets even have their own chair in the lounge which they get to lounge on.
A large number of pet owners tuck their pet in before they go to sleep.
Just as parents tuck their kids in before they go to sleep, 40% of pet owners tuck their pet in, before they go to sleep. As an example, some pet owners place their dog in their dog bed and kiss it good night, before going to bed every night. While other pet owners may encourage their cat to sleep on the end of their bed, before they go to sleep.
Most survey respondents would rather share their bed with their partner than their pet.
Most individuals would still rather sleep with their partner, then their pet as 75.20% of survey respondents chose to share their bed with their partner over their pet. Although, many individuals also claimed that they’d happily share their bed with their partner and their pet.
However there are some individuals who revealed that their bed is a no go zone for their pets and that their pets are not allowed in their bed or in their bedroom. In order to create boundaries about where their pet may go in their home.
