4 Ways To Make Your Body Beach-Ready

So, you’re planning a trip to the beach in the not so far off future, and chances are that you may have a few extra pounds more than you did last summer. After the long winter months of indulging in heavy foods, it’s not uncommon to find yourself feeling like you may not be ready to hit the beach quite yet. The good news is that with a little bit of effort on your part you’ll be beach-ready in no time. It’s all about knowing a few tips to look your best.

Take a look at some of the things you can do to feel ready to hit the beach.

Get Your Bikini Line Ready

It’s important that your body is ready to go from head to toe. That means that it’s time to get a wax. A trip to the esthetician will ensure that you don’t have anything showing on your bikini line that you would rather not show.

Just make sure that you properly exfoliate and moisturize afterwards. The only thing worse than a fuzzy bikini line is a red and irritated one.

Get a Quality Bathing Suit

As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. It’s important that if you want to look your best that you pay for a high-quality bathing suit. A well-made bathing suit will hug your body in all the right places and avoid making you feel insecure.

Cheap bathing suits tend to fall apart quickly and may not suit your body in the way that you’d like it to. Pay a little extra for a reputable brand and you won’t regret it.

Start Working Out

While it’s important not to put too much pressure on yourself, after all, it’s a day at the beach, not a bikini competition; you’ll feel better if you start doing a little exercise.

Start working out at least three times a week, and you’ll start to see the benefits after a few weeks. Something as low impact as walking 30 minutes a day can have a significant impact on your physique. The idea is to burn more calories than you put in your body.

In addition to cardio, don’t forget the importance of strength training period toning your muscles, and getting strong requires resistance exercises too.

Apply Tanner

Nobody wants to arrive at the beach with pasty white skin. Before you put on your bikini, apply some self Tanner or a subtle glow. Just make sure that you don’t go overboard because the last thing you want is to arrive orange and stripy. Opt for a tenor that is gradual and subtle. After your first day at the beach, you won’t need it anymore since you’ll be sun-kissed by the real thing.
